And the garden produces on!

Location, At Home.

We are still reaping the benefits from the garden. Lots of cucumbers, Chinese peas, onions, carrots, and green beans. We have made dill pickles, freezer pickles, dilly beans, and pickle relish. We have also blanched and frozen green beans and shredded and bagged zucchini for the freezer. The zucchini will be used for zucchini bread later as we already have a couple of loaves in the freezer.
 Pickle relish.

In other news, I have been working on a Windows 7 PC from a friend. This thing had so many viruses, Trojans, and just plain garbage that it wouldn’t work at all. I have removed almost everything but it still has a problem so I think I will wipe the hard drive clean and install Ubuntu for the operating system. Ubuntu is easy and free to use and never has the problems Windows does.

I have started working on the food assignments for our fall trip. The first pass at assignments went out yesterday. The object here is to get people to commit to dates for the trip so I can assign who cooks when. It usually takes two or three passes to get it all done.

I ordered and received a new awning cover for the RV. I plan to install it myself with help from Craig or neighbors. It isn’t hard to do, just awkward to handle the length of material and the awning arms all at the same time. I replaced one on our old Class-C motorhome years ago. With help from videos on YouTube I think I can handle this also.

Two weeks until my trip to Wisconsin to see family and attend an All-School Reunion. Time is passing rapidly.
